tru Independence, the US-based consulting and services platform for wealth management firms, has scooped up another client, Jadwin Asset Management.
Jadwin, which was founded by John Knox, its managing partner, is based in Greenwich, CT. Before he founded that business, Knox was MD and senior wealth advisor at Bessemer Trust. Before he joined Bessemer in 2012, he was president and later chairman of First Republic Investment Management and its predecessor firm Trainer Wortham and Co. for more than 15 years. Knox began his career as a principal and senior portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley Asset Management.
The firm’s investment approach focuses on stocks, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs, and avoids derivatives, structured notes and esoteric securities, securities with embedded loads and sales charges. The business was launched in 2014.
